Participant of MELBU

Dept. of Business Administration is a proud participant of MELBU (More Entrepreneurial Life at Bangladeshi Universities), a 3 years (2020 - 2022) multi-disciplinary project funded by European Union from Bangladesh, Germany and Poland. A team of six participants, including three faculty members who were from Dept. of Business Administration, and three students of which two (02) students were from Dept. of Business Administration attended 2 week-long “Summer School” at University of Leipzig, Germany. Under the project, the faculty members also visited Poland at the end of October, 2022 as a part of dissemination of the project.


Seminar & Training

Dept. of Business Administration successfully organized several seminars, and training for students with association of Berger Paints, Ispahani Group, Pepsi, MGH Group, Future Leaders and many more.


Pioneer in Offering MBA-1 Year Program

Dept. of Business Administration under Faculty of Business Studies pioneer in offer MBA-1 Year program with due approval of UGC for Business Graduate in Southwest region of Bangladesh.


Observation of National Days related to Business & Industry

Dept. of Business Administration is a proud member of observing various Business/Industry related Days like “National Marketing Day”, “HR Carnival”, “Global Money Week” etc.


Best Coffee Shop in the City

Dept. of Business Administration feels honored in producing quality graduate who are contributing in family business, local business and national level business organizations. Best Coffee Shop, “Coffeetaaa” in the city is owned & operated by a senior (currently at 4th year) student of the Department.


Innovative Waste Management Solution

In collaboration with Khulna City Corporation (at ward level), “Easy Door”, a brain-child project of one of our students got the highest recognition for waste management of the Khulna city.


English student became Regional Coordinator of English Olympiad

Shadia Ferdous became The Best Campus Ambassador from English Olympiad in 2017. She performed her duties as Regional Coordinator of English Olympiad for Khulna Division from 2018 to 2022. She was a very meritorious student from Fall-2014 Batch of BA (Hons.) in English at the Department of English Language and Literature.


English student secured First Position in Classical Dance

Pallabi Rani Paul, participating on the behalf of North Western University, secured First Position in Classical Dance at National Education Week 2018 arranged by Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education. She was a student of Spring-2015 Batch of BA (Hons.) in English at the Department of English Language and Literature.


Department of Civil Engineering wins Innovation Contest

The Department of Civil Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology won second place for their unique dustbin design in the 2017 "Sustainable Solid Waste Management" competition. An innovation titled “Innovative Dustbin” by Md. Sozol Hossain – 6th term student came out on the second position defeating other innovations submitted by students of different universities.


Seminar and Training

The Department of Civil Engineering, in collaboration with Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Limited, Seven Rings Cement, Bashundhara Cement, and many others, has successfully conducted a number of seminars, training, and workshops sessions for its students.


Student’s Outstanding Performance at British Council

Md. Shariful Islam, a student with great potential, recently took and aced the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. He has also become a certified teacher trainer by British Council.


Students Receives Graduate Scholarship

Cloudia Hoimonti baroi and M. M. Afikur Rahman, both recipients of international scholarships, recently received their degrees from Concordia University in Montreal. M. Saifur Rahman attended Kyungpook National University on a full scholarship and graduated with honors.


Entrepreneurship

The Civil Engineering Department is delighted of its alumni, many of whom are active in business communities on a regional and national scale. Our students have registered more than ten construction and design firms with the Khulna Development Authority (KDA). "Tri-Angle Architect and Engineer" stands out as a top picks.


Back to Back Champion

Department of Civil Engineering is now back to back champion in “Independence Day Inter Department Cricket Tournament” in occasion of “Mujib Barsho” arranged by University where all 6 departments took participation. This tournament has been arranged two times in 2019 and 2022 and both time “Civil Cyclone” & “Civil Spartans” (Two Teams of Civil Engineering Department) snatched the pride of title in their own home.


TechKriti Innovation Challenge Winner

Pallab Kumar Gain, a member of the Spring-15 batch, led his team to victory at the TechKriti Innovation Challenge at IIT-Kanpur, demonstrating exceptional skills and dedication.


Global Robotics Challenge Champion

Joy Biswas, from the Spring-13 batch, led his team to championship victory at the Global Robotics Challenge Bangladesh Round-2017 (ESAB) held at North South University. This accomplishment was a significant milestone for the Department of EEE at North Western University, showcasing their commitment to fostering excellence and innovation in their students.


Hardware Exhibition Winners

Pallab Kumar Gain and Oishe Alam, both from the Spring-15 batch, achieved 1st runner up at the Inter-University Tech Fiesta'16 (KUET) in the Hardware Exhibition category, showcasing their exceptional technical skills and ability to navigate complex technological challenges with ease.


Innov-A-Thon Victory

Pallab Kumar Gain led his team to victory at the Innov-A-Thon 2018 (A2i) Hardware Exhibition, demonstrating exceptional technical skills and innovation under pressure. Additionally, this victory highlights the EEE department's commitment to fostering excellence and innovation in their students at North Western University.


IIT Patna M. Tech Scholarship Winner

Rakat Morshed, a distinguished student of the Spring-16 batch, has earned a prestigious scholarship to pursue his M. Tech degree in VLSI and Embedded System at IIT Patna. This scholarship highlights the exceptional talent and hard work exhibited by Mr. Morshed and serves as a remarkable accomplishment for both him and his academic institution.


Career Achievement

Md. Arafat Hossain, a distinguished student of the Summer-16 batch of the EEE Department, has secured a prestigious position as an Executive Trainee (Electronics) at the Nuclear Power Plant Company Bangladesh Limited (NPCBL). His achievement highlights the EEE Department's commitment to providing its students with the necessary skills and expertise to succeed in their chosen career paths.


German Business Idea Competition Winner

Ms. Nushrat Jahan Bushra, a student of the Spring-19 batch, secured the third position in the business idea competition held under the MELBU (More Entrepreneurial Life at Bangladesh Universities) program in Germany. Her team, "SEnergy," presented an innovative and promising business idea that impressed the judges and earned them a place among the top performers.


Power Sector Engagement

The students of the Department of EEE have been actively engaged in various government and private organizations, including the West Zone Power Distribution Company Limited (WZPDCL), the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB), and the Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB).
