Preface

The Department of Business Administration at North Western University (NWU), Khulna offers 4 programs. These are 4 (four)-Year BBA Program, 1 (one) Year MBA Program for business background graduates, 1.5 (one& half)-Year EMBA program for Executives, and 2 (two) Years MBA Program (regular). These programs are spread over 2 (two) semesters n the interest of effective learning and potential teaching. The common grading scale is followed as provided by University Grants Commission (UGC). This curriculum incorporates elements of emerging knowledge and learning of business studies keeping in view the curricula of the Department of Business Administration of the renowned public universities of the country and also a number of foreign universities. The structure and layout of this curriculum are designed in compliance with the guidelines of UGC and on the basis of Outcome Based Education (OBE). Dynamism has been introduced in the curriculum in order to ensure Business education of international standard. The ultimate aim of the department is to impart to students up-to-date literary, theoretically critical insights, inquisitiveness in research and proficiency in business education.

To enhance creativity of students, the department arranges various curricular activities like Seminars, Workshops, Industrial Tours, Case Studies, Presentations, and Text-based Video Clips. The curriculum is based on the course credit system. There are UGC prescribed courses, Department selected courses, Major & Minor. Strong emphasis is given on the relevant basic courses which will help the students interact confidently with the people across the globe. This curriculum is subject to updating from time to time in order to keep pace with the modern trends of Business Studies.
