NWU observed Martyred Intellectual Day 2024

North Western University (NWU) observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day to commemorate those intellectuals who were assassinated deliberately by the Pakistan occupation forces and their local collaborators at the fag-end of the country's Liberation War in 1971. To mark the day, a discussion meeting was held on 14 December 2024 at 09.30 am. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of NWU, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Md. Enayetul Babar was the Chief Guest and Honorable Treasurer of NWU, Prof. Kanai Lal Sarkar was the Special Guest while Dean of Faculty of Business Studies, Dr. Md. Rouf Biswas was presided over the event.
Apart from this, Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, Md. Inzamam-Ul-Hossain; Heads of the Departments; Director, Rabindra Nath Datta, Proctor, Md. Asaduzzaman, Assistant Proctors, Teachers, Students, Officers and Staffs took part in the discussion meeting.
On 14 December After Sunrise, Hoisting of National Flag at half-mast and Hoisting Black Flag at the NWU Building (1&2). At 8:30 a.m., wearing black badges. At 9:00 a.m., laying a floral wreath at Gallamari Monument. At 9:30 a.m., a discussion on the day. After the discussion meeting, a dua-mahfil was held at NWU Building 1 (Rooms 201 and 202) to pray for the departed souls of the nation's bravest and intellectual sons.
