Quran Khatam and Dua Mahfil Held at NWU Seeking Eternal Peace for Begum Khaleda Zia

A Quran Khatam and Dua Mahfil was held at North Western University seeking eternal peace (maghfirat) for the departed soul of former Prime Minister and respected national leader, the late Begum Khaleda Zia.
The program took place on Wednesday (January 7) at 12:30 pm at the university's Administrative Building located at Sonadanga Mor, Khulna. The event was organized with due religious solemnity.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of North Western University, Md. Mizanur Rahman, attended the dua mahfil as the Chief Guest.
The prayers were conducted by Hafez Md. Abu Musa Talukdar, Head Teacher of the Hifz Department of Darul Quran Siddiqia Kamil Madrasa, Khulna. He led special supplications seeking forgiveness and eternal peace for the soul of the late Begum Khaleda Zia.
Among others present at the program were Syed Hafizur Rahman, Member of the Board of Trustees; Professor Kanai Lal Sarker, Vice-Chancellor(In Charge); Dr. Md. Injamam-ul-Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology; Sheikh Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences; Dr. Sheikh Shafikur Rahman, Registrar; Shakil Ahmed, Proctor; department heads, assistant proctors, heads of offices, faculty members, students, officers, and staff of the university.
Prior to the dua mahfil, Quran Khatam was arranged by madrasa students at both the Administrative Building of North Western University at Sonadanga Mor and the university's Building-2 at Tetultala Mor, with the same intention of seeking maghfirat for the late leader.
The program concluded with prayers for peace, unity, and well-being of the nation.
