The Pitha Festival1432 was held with great enthusiasm and festivity at North Western University. The festival took place on Monday (02 January) at 10:00 a.m. at the IEB Center premises adjacent to the administrative building of North Western University, located at Sonadanga Mor, Khulna.
The event was formally inaugurated through a brief discussion session by the Honorable Acting Vice-Chancellor of North Western University, Professor Kanai Lal Sarker, as the Chief Guest. Among those present were the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Dr. Md. Imjamam-ul-Hossain; the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Farzana Akter; the Registrar, Dr. Sheikh Shafikur Rahman; the Proctor, Shakil Ahmed; heads of departments, assistant proctors, heads of offices, teachers, students, officers, and staff members.
After the discussion, the Chief Guest, along with the distinguished guests, visited and inspected the stalls of the Pitha Festival1432. It is worth mentioning that this years festival featured a total of six creatively arranged stalls by students. These included Shitanna by the CSC Department, Pithar Petition by the Law Department, Pitha Rosh by the Civil Engineering Department, Shad Sanchaar by the EEE Department, Pitha Punj by the Department of English Language and Literature, and a stall by the Department of Business Administration.
On the occasion of the Pitha Festival1432, a cultural program was also organized from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Later, prizes were distributed among the participating student stalls. The convening committee of the Pitha Festival was led by Assistant Professor Tajul Islam of the CSC Department as Convener, with Assistant Professor Md. Mehedi Hasan of the Department of Business Administration serving as Member Secretary.
