Grand Opening of Two-Day Annual Cricket Tournament 2026 at NWU

The two-day Annual Cricket Tournament 2026 of North Western University was inaugurated with colorful arrangements on Wednesday, 13 May, at 10:00 AM at the Mongla Port Colony Ground under Khalishpur Police Station in Khulna.

The tournament was officially inaugurated by releasing balloons, festoons, and pigeons by Professor Kanai Lal Sarkar, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university.

Among those present at the inauguration ceremony were Dr. Md. Inzamam-Ul-Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology; Farzana Akhter, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies; Hasibul Hossain Sumon, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law and Convener of the Annual Cricket Tournament 2026 Celebration Committee; Md. Mahedi Hasan, Head of the Department of CSE and Member Secretary of the Celebration Committee; Registrar Dr. Sk. Shafiqur Rahman; IQAC Director Md. Anisur Rahman; Proctor Shakil Ahmed; assistant proctors, department heads, office chiefs, teachers, students, officers, and staff members.

It is noteworthy that students from six departments of the university are participating in the two-day cricket tournament.
