Ongoing Tree Plantation Program Held at NWU

As part of the governments tree plantation initiatives aimed at environmental conservation and building a climate-resilient Bangladesh, an ongoing tree plantation program was held at the permanent campus of North Western University, located in the Labanchara Police Station area along the KhulnaDhaka Highway.

The program was held on Saturday (August 15) at noon. Member of Parliament for Khulna-1 constituency, Amir Ejaz Khan, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of North Western University, was present as the Chief Patron.

The distinguished guests emphasized the importance of increasing greenery and promoting environmental conservation in the current context. They also encouraged everyone to actively participate in tree plantation and other initiatives for a greener and more sustainable environment.

Among others, Kanai Lal Sarker, Acting Vice-Chancellor of North Western University; Deans of various faculties; Heads of Departments; members of the Proctorial Body; and Heads of different offices were present at the program.
