Orientation Program for Fall 2026 Batch of the Department of Economics Held at NWU

An orientation program for the newly admitted students of the Fall 2026 batch of the Department of Economics at North Western University was held on Monday, August 17.
The orientation program took place at the Administrative Building of North Western University, located at Sonadanga Mor in Khulna city.
Professor Kanai Lal Sarker, Acting Vice-Chancellor of North Western University, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Sheikh Mahrafur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, and Dr. Sheikh Shafiquur Rahman, Registrar of the University, were present as Special Guests.
Among others, the program was attended by Md. Mehedi Hasan, Proctor of North Western University; Shakeel Ahmed, Head of the Department of Development Studies; and the newly admitted students.
Organized by the Department of Economics of North Western University, the orientation program was presided over by Tanvir Hossain, Head of the Department of Economics.
Later, a cake-cutting ceremony was held with the newly admitted students of the Fall 2026 batch. The distinguished guests welcomed each new student by presenting them with flowers and extended their best wishes for their academic journey at the University.
