Holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) observed amid religious fervor

A discussion meeting and prayer gathering were held at North Western University on the occasion of the Holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), commemorating the birth and blessed arrival of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The program was organized on Thursday (August 27) at noon at the Administrative Building of North Western University, located at Sonadanga Mor in Khulna city.

Md. Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of North Western University, attended the discussion meeting as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he said that the blessed arrival of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was a unique and glorious event in the history of human civilization. His advent opened a new horizon of truth and light for humanity. In addition to calling people toward Tawhid (the oneness of Allah), he taught the values of truth, justice, equality, brotherhood, humanity, and peace.

He further said that the Prophet�s noble life and deeds remain an eternal source of guidance and an exemplary model for all humanity. He urged everyone to follow the path and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Among others, Professor Kanai Lal Sarker, Acting Vice-Chancellor of North Western University; Syed Hafizur Rahman, Member of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Md. Emzamam-ul-Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology; Farzana Akter, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies; Sheikh Mahrafur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences; Dr. Sheikh Shafiquur Rahman, Registrar; Sheikh Md. Monirul Haque, Controller of Examinations; Md. Mehedi Hasan, Proctor; Sheikh Md. Maksudur Rahman, Assistant Registrar; Assistant Proctors; Heads of Departments; Heads of various offices; teachers, students, officers, and employees of the University were present at the event.

Following the brief discussion meeting, a prayer gathering was held. The prayer (Munajat) was led by Mawlana Anisuzzaman.
