North Western University Vice-Chancellor Pays Tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

The newly-appointed vice chancellor of North Western University (NWU), Professor Dr. Engineer Sheikh Md. Enayetul Babar, paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum in Tungipara, Gopalganj, on Thursday.

After laying the wreath, the VC stood in solemn silence for a minute as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the great architect of independence, who was brutally killed by some disgruntled army men on the dreadful night of August 15, 1975, along with most of his family members.

After observing 1 minute silence, they in honor of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nescha Mujib and other martyrs who were victims of the massacre of August 15, 1975 recited fateha and doa.

Meanwhile, Kanai Lal Sarkar, Treasurer; Professor Md. Tabibar Rahman, Registrar; Md. Asaduzzaman, Proctor; S M Reazur Rashid, Director; Mina Ossiqur Rahman, PS to VC and PRO (In-Charge) along with other senior officers, NWU officials were present.
