Vision

The vision of the Department of English Language and Literature at North Western University is to produce good potential graduates, post graduates and executives who will be able to contribute to national and global development.

Mission

The Mission of the Department of English Language and Literature is to enable the students to provide learners with knowledge of English language, linguistics and literary studies. This will create opportunities to familiarize the students with fundamental genres of English literature, cultural aspects, many different historical facts, theories, researches, aesthetics, translation studies, and aspects of general education of national importance. Hence, they will be able to take responsibilities, to face challenges, and to lead people and organizations through teaching, training, counseling, and mentoring.
